Boyd Introduces New Broyhill Hybrid Line

LAS VEGAS — Boyd Specialty Sleep once again comes to this bedding-rich market with a full slate of product introductions. Don’t tell President Denny Boyd that the summer market here is often light on new bedding models. He continues to march to a different bedding drummer.
In addition to its new customizable izone bedding series, Boyd is showing a number of bed designs including its first Broyhill-branded hybrid line, new gel visco mattresses, new metal and upholstered platform styles and several new power adjustable bases.
The five new Broyhill beds are foam-encased and combine a wrapped coil unit with varying combinations of visco, gel-visco and Gel Lux foam layers. Several upper-end models in the Broyhill program, retailing from $799 to $1,999, use a new cooling technology in their covers that Boyd calls Ice Fiber.
“This new hybrid collection gives retailers a number of options — all under the highly recognized Broyhill name,” Boyd said.
Under Boyd’s brand, the producer is presenting two new gel-infused visco foam beds at eight- and 10-inch heights. The mattresses have a high density foam support base and feature stretch knit covers used in combination with sofa fabric and piping. Also being shown are 10 new metal and upholstered bed base designs, many with a folding construction that allows for single-box shipping.
“These platforms feature new stylings and fresh fabrics,” Boyd noted, “and as queen retails from only $299 to $599, we anticipate they’ll have tremendous appeal to Millennials and other non-traditional market segments.”
Three new power adjustable bases expected to retail from $999 to $2,499 in queen also will be showcased in the company’s World Market Center B-901 space.
The bottom number is the 1003 base, a wireless model that has an “automatic flat” function, zero gravity buttons plus head and foot controls. At $1,499, the new 6000 base has a bi-level carriage design, several memory functions and offers massage.
At the top is the 9000 model, which also has a carriage design but offers many exclusive remote controlled features and controls like under-bed lighting, wireless and Bluetooth-capable in-bed speakers, the company said.
