Waterbed Mattresses

Waterbed customers are extremely loyal. Even though the popularity of the waterbed peaked in the ’80s, the waterbed market is still going strong, thanks in part to the fierce support of the die hard waterbed enthusiast. And their enthusiasm can easily be understood when you consider that sleeping on water is like sleeping on nothing else.

The Boyd waterbed mattresses of today are lighter than models of decades past and come with some really great features, like foam padding and interior fiber that can greatly reduce the wave effect. They also are designed with tubes and bladders that make the set up process less like filling a giant water balloon.

Boyd Sleep has been the waterbed industry leader since 1977, when Denny Boyd opened his first waterbed store in Columbia, MO. Since then we have lead the industry in innovation and design. As hardside waterbeds began to decline in popularity we introduced our convenient softside waterbed mattresses. They look and feel like a standard mattress, but use water for support. The water filled tubes or bladder are held in place by a perimeter of support foam and zipped inside a quilted cover. A softside waterbed will fit your existing bedroom furniture and uses regular sheets.
